I'm a natural light photographer based in the Sacramento area. I have loved photography since I was in grade school. It seems like I was always taking candid shots of my friends and classmates. When I was 20, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe. I borrowed my brothers old Pentax camera and ended up shooting 13 rolls of film-capturing the beautiful landscapes. architecture, and people of each place I visited. Fast forward 13 years, when I moved to Lake Tahoe and fell in love with photography all over again-so many amazing photo opportunities. It was while living in Tahoe that I learned how to use the darkroom. I will never forget the excitement I felt watching my first image appear on a blank piece of paper as it sat in a tray of developer. I was hooked!
I love animals, especially dogs. You will find me crossing the street so I can say hi and love on a dog. I am accredited to photograph kids with special needs through Special Kids Photography of America. I love to create, whether that's with photography or with our home. Vivid and bright colors make me happy! My photography allows me to slow down and appreciate the beauty of life.
